Do you have a Shell Recharge Solutions charging card and are you no longer able to charge as of 28th of January?
Do you have a Shell Recharge Solutions charging card with home charging reimbursement and are you unable to charge from the above-mentioned date? Shell has decided to block these charging cards as of 28th of January. This means that your charging card will no longer work from that date onwards – not even at your home charging station. Shell has already informed you about this, and we have also sent you an email regarding this matter.

Ihre Shell Recharge Solutions-Ladekarte kann nicht erneut aktiviert werden. Das bedeutet, dass diese Karte ab dem 28. Januar nicht mehr funktioniert. Es ist wichtig, dass Sie selbst eine neue Ladekarte beantragen.
Eine Ladekarte mit Heimladevergütung beantragen
Wenn Sie eine Ladekarte mit der Möglichkeit zur Heimladevergütung beantragen möchten, können wir dies leider nicht für Sie veranlassen. Ihr Arbeitgeber oder Ihre Leasinggesellschaft muss dies für Sie regeln, da diese Ihnen die Ladekosten erstatten. Für weitere Informationen kann Ihr Arbeitgeber oder Ihre Leasinggesellschaft folgende Website besuchen: https://www.shell.de/geschaeftskunden/.
Eine Ladekarte ohne Heimladevergütung beantragen
Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten, eine Ladekarte ohne Heimladevergütung zu beantragen:
- Beantragen Sie eine neue Shell-Ladekarte über die Shell-App (Achtung: nicht über die Shell Recharge App).
- Beantragen Sie eine Ladekarte oder Ladeschlüsselanhänger über die 50five-Website (geeignet für das Laden zu Hause und öffentliches Laden).
Wichtige Informationen zu Ihrer Ladekarte
- Wenn Sie eine neue Shell-Ladekarte ohne Heimladevergütung beantragt haben, muss diese vor dem Laden in der Shell-App aktiviert werden (Achtung: nicht in der Shell Recharge App und auch nicht in der 50five e-mobility App).
- Sie können Ihre neue Ladekarte (sowohl von Shell als auch von 50five) über die 50five e-mobility App mit Ihrer Heimladestation verbinden.
- Nutzen Sie Plug & Charge? Beenden Sie diese Funktion zunächst mit Ihrer alten Ladekarte. Nachdem Sie Ihre neue Karte in der 50five e-mobility App gekoppelt haben, können Sie Ihre neue Ladekarte ab dem 24. Januar initialisieren.
- Wir möchten darauf hinweisen, dass 50five nicht an der Beendigung der Shell-Ladekarten beteiligt ist und hierzu keine weiteren Informationen bereitstellen kann. Bei Fragen zum Ablauf, Ersatz oder zu den Bedingungen Ihrer Shell-Ladekarte wenden Sie sich bitte direkt an Shell.

Please check whether your card is active and if your payment details are correctly configured in your Shell account (in the Shell app, not the Shell Recharge app).
To ensure your safety, we do not offer this feature for the time being. Remote start/stop is prone to fraud and can be misused without a physical charging card. The data associated with a charging card is owned by Shell, which means we cannot always verify with certainty whether a card belongs to the rightful owner. Together with our technology partner, we are investigating whether we can offer this feature safely in the future.

You can easily calculate how much time you need to charge your electric car. The battery of an electric car always has a certain capacity, expressed in kWh. For example, if the battery has a capacity of 74 kWh and the charging station provides a power of 7.4 kW, it will take 10 hours (74 / 7.4 = 10) to fully charge an empty battery. In the unlikely event that you need to charge on the road, you can often use a fast charger. This allows you to quickly charge a significant portion of the battery so you can get back on your way in no time.

At 50five, it is also possible to have your charging costs reimbursed by your employer. How does this work? In the second week of the month, the invoice containing the charging transactions from the previous month becomes available. You can find this invoice in our online charging management platform under “Payments and reimbursements”, where it will have the status “In progress”. Are you an employee? The reimbursement of charging costs can take up to 30 days after the invoice becomes available. Please note that no amount will be debited from your bank account. Therefore, it is not necessary to enable direct debit.
For private users and companies, invoices are paid out within 6 weeks after the invoice date.
